H&M Sweden, introduced these "normal" sized mannequins, size 6 and size 10. The average Canadian women is a size 12.
I'm lucky, in that being tall, my real size deceives most people. But truly, I'm no size 2 or 4 or 6 or even 8! (well, sometimes on a Great day - I might be an 8 ) Why do we continue to beat ourselves up over impossible images and perceptions about what size we are?
I applaud H&M for taking such a bold stand in the retail world. I've always loved their sense of fashion and now I can enjoy them even more, knowing that they "get" it.
Thank you H&M. Now, who's next to take this stand? Step right up.
